Red Bottoms.....>>Christian Louboutin

Chrisitian Louboutin is a shoe designing genius!

So I know you been trying to figure out who designs those red bottoms pumps Oprah and every other celeb be rocking.... yep kudos goes to this guy!

(special shoutout to Wikepedia)

Christian Louboutin (born 1964) is a footwear designer who launched his line of high-end women's shoes in France in 1991. Since 1992, his designs have incorporated the shiny, red-lacquered soles that have become his signature. On March 27, 2007, Christian Louboutin filed an application for U.S. trademark protection of this red sole design.

Christian Louboutin helped bring stilettos back into fashion in the 1990s and 2000s, designing dozens of styles with heel heights of 120mm (4.72 inches) and higher. The designer's professed goal is to “make a woman look sexy, beautiful, to make her legs look as long as [he] can.” While he does offer some lower-heeled styles, Louboutin is generally associated with his dressier eveningwear designs incorporating bejeweled straps, bows, feathers, patent leather and other, similar decorative touches.

In his U.S. trademark application, Louboutin explains the inception of the signature red soles:

"In 1992 I incorporated the red sole into the design of my shoes. This happened by accident as I felt that the shoes lacked energy so I applied red nail polish to the sole of a shoe. This was such a success that it became a permanent fixture."

J.Crew = Fall/Winter Wardrobe

This Fall/Winter 2010 collection for J. Crew is going to be super! Here are a few pieces that I enjoy.

Super 120s pinstripe two-button jacket (retailing at $240.00)

Four-season Super 120s Australian merino wool. Why so super? 120 is the measure of the yarn (the higher the number, the finer the yarn), and since 120 is one of the finest, our fabric boasts a silky-smooth finish and refined drape. Peaked-lapel collar. Two-button closure. Flap pockets, interior chest pocket with Italian tie-silk flap, interior lipstick pocket. Functional buttons at cuffs. Contrast-color interior piping. Fully lined in stretch fabric. Hits at high hip. Import. Dry clean. Catalog/jcrew.com only.......

Vintage serge Spy trench (retailing at $325.00)

A romantic twist on the timeless trench whipped up in an unexpectedly bright hue. The genius is in the details: the slightly higher belt placement (for optimal waist cinching), soft ruching at the pockets and old-fashioned dressmaker touches that echo a classic feel. Wool. Mandarin collar. Double-breasted. Long sleeves. Vents with functional buttons at cuffs. Removable self-belt with buckle at waist. Welt pockets. Fully lined. Hits at low thigh. Part of the J.Crew Collection. Import. Dry clean. Catalog/jcrew.com only.

And to top it off! My red bottom favs....Christian Louboutin! Such a genius! Owww! :)

Two Day Lockdown

Okay so I have been neglecting you guys for the last two days and I truely apologize! Full warning I will be "binging the world of fashion" for the next couple months. My first two days of work has been really overwhelming! Trying to learn the styles of different bags, collections, and how the business works! COACH ROCKS! Don't be fooled with all these people with knockoff Coach bags....they are truely making the brand wack!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So therefore, because I am a employee representing Coach I WILL CALL YOU OUT! So please don't rock a fake bag around me....I will kill and embarrass you. Had to put that disclaimer out there simply because Coach is affordable if you make it and so is any other high end designer..."INVEST and look your BEST!" Period.

So here is the website so I suggest you get started: www.coach.com

Over the past two days I have enjoyed working at Coach! Watching runway shows, packaging and purchasing, saftey (boring), and the FY10 line.....the winter collection...OH BOY....wait to yall see this. Top sellers: Madison and Brooke collection! (but my favorite the Poppy Collection)

And did yall watch America's Next Top Model tonight and the Hip Hop Awards last night?? OMG....what about Oprah and Mike Tyson's interview? It's official Mike is crazy and I will pray for him tonight. Monica show is coming soon to BET! And the new season of Nip Tuck is airing tonight! This winter is going to be FABULOUS! :)

Toodles!

(btw I will need a cocktail by the end of this week!) :(

Talent at its Best

Ryan Leslie has caught my attention over the past couple months. This video has surfaced of him and it shows how BRILLIANT, TALENTED, AND CREATIVE this guy is....from this video I look at him MORE then just a singer/songwriter.

Redskins and Worship Sunday!

Okay so I'm blown because my skins came from a 17-2 lead to a 20-17 loss to the Carolina Panthers. However, I am still a Redskins fan....till the day I die!

Church was great this morning! I finally joined First Baptist Church of Glenarden!!! I fell in love with this church over the past month and finally decided to take my attendance to the next level and make a commitment. Even though the church has thousands of members Pastor Jenkins is AMAZING! Yea....he definately does his thing...

If you are ever in need of a church to go to....uh yea....check this one out! I wouldn't let you down! http://www.fbcglenarden.org/

HISTORY IN THE MAKING:: Pres. Barack Obama

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA WINS NOBEL PEACE PRIZE!!!!!!!!!

I am truely in love with this man that our nation calls our COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF!!!!! This was a great article posted on the washingtonpost.com about the nomination and why he was selected as the winner by the Nobel committee.

By KARL RITTER and MATT MOORE

The Associated Press

Friday, October 9, 2009; 10:52 AM

OSLO -- President Barack Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday in a stunning decision designed to encourage his initiatives to reduce nuclear arms, ease tensions with the Muslim world and stress diplomacy and cooperation rather than unilateralism.
Many observers were shocked by the unexpected choice so early in the Obama presidency, which began less than two weeks before the Feb. 1 nomination deadline and has yet to yield concrete achievements in peacemaking.

Some around the world objected to the choice of Obama, who still oversees wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and has launched deadly counter-terror strikes in Pakistan
and Somalia.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee countered that it was trying "to promote what he stands for and the positive processes that have started now." It lauded the change in global mood wrought by Obama's calls for peace and cooperation, and praised his pledges to reduce the world stock of nuclear arms, ease American conflicts with Muslim nations and strengthen the U.S. role in combating climate change.

The peace prize was created partly to encourage ongoing peace efforts but Obama's efforts are at far earlier stages than past winners'. The Nobel committee acknowledged that they may not bear fruit at all.

"He got the prize because he has been able to change the international climate," Nobel Committee chairman Thorbjoern Jagland said. "Some people say, and I understand it, isn't it premature? Too early? Well, I'd say then that it could be too late to respond three years from now. It is now that we have the opportunity to respond - all of us."

MEMORY SHOT DEAD!!! >>Yesterday and Today!

Alcohol Related Memory Loss (ehow.com)
Contributor By Isabel Prontes

"One of the dangers of consuming too much alcohol is the possibility of blacking out and experiencing a period of temporary memory loss or amnesia. Blackouts and memory loss are very common for alcoholics. For a person to experience the negative side effect of memory loss, they would have to be drinking alcohol like an alcoholic, in essence, numerous times a day, every single day of the week. Many people interpret excessive blackouts and memory loss to be early "high risk indicators" of alcoholism. "

^^^^Not me^^^ LOL

My bad I slacked off! Only because....well you right...no excuses! Lets start with yesterday! I continued my PT job interview week with J. Crew and Coach. J. Crew was cool, I love there clothes, their line is very upscale, stylish, chic and trendy. Its also flexible with other brands as well as versatile with different hobbies (i.e. Work, happy hour, church, interviews, gatherings, whatever)!!!! PLUS Michelle Obama rocks the heck out of J. Crew! Coach was cool I had an interview with this cool ass gay guy! OMG....he was the coolest thing walking and I loved him...every fashion line or designer I dropped he knew it...(just doesn't look the part...he knows it too!)...kudos to him!

Okay TODAY! I had a doctors appt with a knew doctor (check-up)...yea so she turns out to be Indian! She began asking me about my medical history....okay real talk I know but I don't know....but uhhhh how about we just request to transfer my records to this office? Anyway, she was like "How much alcohol do you drink? Whats your typical consumption?" I replied, "I'm a social drinker and I probably take down two glasses of white alcohol....vodka a week."

:::sidenote:: I am a Bird girl (grey goose) and I love my man Patron::........ So this lady was like, "I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS ABOUT YOU AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMAN AND THIS VODKA! I MEAN I DON'T UNDERSTAND! STOP DRINKING BEFORE YOU BECOME AN ALCOHOLIC! WON'T YOU JUST GET A FRUIT COCKTAIL?" Okay lady...chillllllllllllllllll!!!!!! And uhhhh fruit cocktail? NO GOOD!...I know it was wrong but... I laughed her out! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Next, I went to the mall and I had an interview with Guess (5 minute interview...dumb and pointless) and a second interview with Coach store manager (yea the gay guy loved me)! So Guess went great...they are doing a background check and Coach was cool too....

HAPPY HOUR! was Fannnntastic....wait by the way your girl was looking FAB TODAY! Red fitted shirt (back of it was deep U shaped cut) with a fitted blue pin striped pencil skirt and some bad black pumps! Oh yea....tough money today! Chic for the interviews....and bad as hell for Happy hour! And what did that equal? FREE DRINKS!!!!! All I have to say about Happy Hour is that I left smiling.... (aight a lil tipsy) *not promoting driving under the influence* but I enjoyed myself! Let's see what else this weekend has in-store for the kid!

Later folks! :)
p.s. offered a PT position at Hollister...took it...but what if J. Crew or Coach calls? uh-oh....one hell of a decision...hey but $$$$ talks.... :) ok bye.

RYAN LESLIE!!!!!!!!!!

TONIGHT WAS CRAZZZZYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Uptown Magazine and Lexus presents: The Lexus Listening Lounge featuring a performance by Ryan Leslie!!!!!!! A luxurious event featuring the first-ever HS Hybrid and an intimate performance by Ryan Leslie & Hal Linton (BET's own Rising Icon)!

Both performances were AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad I had great company and people around me who embrace the sound of music as much as I do! Ryan Leslie is a great performer, writer, singer, and his band.....OMG.....off the HOOK! This band is something serious though....maybe it's just me but I LOVE LIVE PERFORMANCES! You really see the artist on a intimate level and how creative and talented they are!

Too bad you missed it! Catch us on the next one :)
Special shoutout to Amber for putting me on! and Krystal, Jessica, and James for coming out!

I just love GREAT music and TALENTED artists!

Possibilities!!!

This week is INTERVIEW WEEK (for Part-time jobs....extra money won't hurt!)

Today I had an interview with Hollister! To the interview I was told to wear the following:
~No professional attire
~something similar to the clothes they sold in the store
~Natural hair
~natural face (no make-up but exception to: neutral colors)
~and to be there 10-15 minutes before
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wore True Religion Jeans, a white tank, a nice plain H&M cardigan and flip flops!!!!! The interview was the only thing that bugged me....it was a group interview. So the chick next to me kept biting off my answers, and she kept talking about her supermarket experience...GETTTTT OUTTT! LOL! Kidding but hey at least she had on Hollister...my stupid self wore a competitor brand of jeans...(DUMB)....but we was sitting down so the store manager didnt see the back of my jeans.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SO! On the way to the mall I was called by 3 other stores that I put in an apps for...YESTERDAY! I was called by J. Crew, Coach, and Guess....3 great stores that I would totally love to work in! Hmmm....if I had a choice who should I go with???? Here are 3 looks....tell me which on is better!

Old Pumps...New tap!

So today I went to this high profile mall looking for a PT job. Some of the stores I applied to was Guess, Hollister, Coach, J. Crew, and some others worth using a discount for...lol! But uhhh since when did retail jobs start doing background checks? Thats new to me! Giving you my SSN I feel like I am already going the extra mile (Not that I have anything to be worried about!) Then I seen where some retail store do lie detector test...so I gave the application back to them. haha...just kidding! hehe....~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So I was leaving the mall on my way back to the car and I seen some old pumps that I always wanted.....BAD. Back in the day I always had a thing for these pair of pumps but I never persued them as much as I wanted to. But TODAY these heels was looking SO GOOD! So I got the vitals (bar code, full layout design of the shoes and the manufactuer)!! Owww!....~~~*wink*~~~ Will keep you posted! :)
